JIMMY

Some of these people are out here selling drugs for the wrong reasons. Ya know what Im saying? Some of them grew up with a silver spoon in they mouths. Some of them got mothers thats gonna take care of them. But they just doing it to be down. See, me-- there was no other way for me. Ya know what Im saying? There was no other way for me. You seen my moms, she's on it [crack] too. I aint have nobody. I had to grow up quick. I started taking care of me and my five brothers when I was like nine or ten...Ya know what Im saying? So it was like I had to hold down the family. So the only way for me to go out there and make money to feed my brothers and sisters was the got there and do that. It's not something I approved of--I always wanted not to be there. I always said "Damn, everybody else doing it, I dont want to be one of those people." But I was young. I cant get no nine to five at the age of nine. Ya know what Im saying? But the drug dealers that was out here was willing to give me something to work. Ya know what Im saying? So I did it. I'm saying after awhile, I just got addicted to it...Track2, 05:17

When I started dealing drugs? I was real young, I was like 10, nine or 10. And I started hustling, and I was getting gypped. Ya know, they was giving me like $5 out of a $100. $5 off $100! But I didnt know no better, and it was money to me when I was young like that. But after a while I learned the business, and it's like it ain't fun, but you get to know a lot of people and all that. But after a while I...I know that somewhere down the tunnel is gonna be a light for me, Ya know what Im saying? But I just don't know how long I gotta wait. And I don't know if that light at the end of the tunnel is gonna be the light I see when I die, Ya know what Im saying? I hope it ain't that light. I hope its gonna be a light where Ill just be able to relax and live a normal life...

And I'm really looking for it to having that record deal come in the, and I'm really trying to push it, but the only thing is I would have to turn myself in, and deal with whatever penalty my probation give me. Track 2, 06:36

Whether its to reinstate me for my probation, which I really dont want. Cuz I feel, if the reinstate me, it's like they got control of me. Ya know what Im saying? And Im not feeling that. I feel if they was to catch me, I would have to do the time. So when I come home I wont have no probation or nothing. But then I can't, I can't even do that cuz my girlfriend don't think she can make it without me. Ya know what Im saying? So it's like, I got a lot of people depending on me. So I cant really just go just like that. Ya know what Im saying? So it's hard. I'm stuck in a no-win situation. But I'm trying to--Im going to make the best of it. Track 2, 07:30

...they know that those drug dealers out there, most of them dont know how to read or write. They know that most of them is out there because they came from abandoned homes and they had no choice but to turn that way, they started at a young age because they was nobody there for them. They has to hold they own, ya know what Im saying? [The police] dont see it like that, all they see is criminals thats out there taking over the system, it aint like that man, Ya know what Im saying? Track 2, 08:35

But theres more to it than that. We, we didnt want, or grow up, or wake up the next day and say, "Oh, I wanna sell drugs, I wanna stick people up, I wanna be a bad guy." Ya know what Im saying? It aint like that. I dont consider us bad guys, I consider us guys thats trying to survive, and thats willing to do what ever it takes to survive, Ya know what Im saying? Even if it means to risk your own life or probably to put somebody elses life in danger. Ya know what Im saying? People willing to do whatever it takes to survive out here. And we aint got much to survive wit. Ya know what Im sayin, all we knew, the only way to survive, we know is to do schemes, sell drugs, or something, Ya know what Im saying? It always gotta have a scheme wit it. If its selling drugs, we gotta scheme, if its to rob somebody, we gotta scheme, We got the credit cards, we gotta scheme. Ya know what Im saying?

It aint never, it aint something we could do on the books or legit, and even if we go on the books, and then we gonna get jerked cuz of who we are or where we came from, Ya know what Im saying, so its like...we, we lose no matter what we do. Ya know what Im saying? So I figure since its like that, make the best of it. Ya know what Im saying? No matter what you do, make the best of it. Ya know what Im saying? Ya know, thats what Im trying to do right now. Trying to make the best of it. Especially me, Im on my own, I just turned 20 in January, Im trying to make the best of it. I aint trying to let this hold me down... Track2, 10:05

I wont give up man, Ya know what Im saying? I feel, theres a reason that God put me on this earth, and I just havent found that reason yet, Ya know what Im saying? And Im sure its a positive reason, God aint putting nobody on this earth for no negative reason. Ya know what Im saying? God is a positive person, so he gonna put people, like, like this man right here. He been ducking me for days, I gave him sweaters to sell. He come to me, Hes tired, hes hungry, he needs money, I gave him sweaters to sell, and I told him, well split the profit 50%, 50%. He never came back to me wit that money, ya know what Im saying? And I looked out for him, but, see thats another thing, when somebody owe you money, most of the time, 9 out of 10 times, you find the person dead.. Me? I just let it be, ya know what Im saying? I know not to mess with that person no more, I know not to put nothing into that persons hands...Id rather say it like this, the money that I gave you, weather its $20, $10, I paid you that much to really find out who you are. Ya know what Im saying? I paid you to find out your true side, and I found out. You no good. Ya know what Im saying? I aint gonna mess wit you no more. Thats how I look at it

thats another thing, with this money thing. I think, money, money, money is the criminal or all criminals. Ya know what Im sayin? Cuz thats what makes a criminal!

Money! You, you tell me, aint no body out there killing nobody or sellin drugs to no one with out money involved. Unless something wrong with them, they mental. Ya know what Im sayin? Everybody doing it for the money, Ya know what Im sayin? And like I said, I had uncles on drugs, and all of that and they stole from me! Ya know what Im sayin? Just for drugs. Ya know what Im sayin? I could just finish feeding em, and giving them money. Once I fall asleep, I wake up in the morning, my stuff is gone! Who did it? The same person I was just feeding the night before. Ya know what Im sayin? So I was like, I dont blame it on that person, I blame it on the drugs. But then again, its still they fault for doing it...

I think the environment messes with the kid's moms too, Ya now what Im sayin? So we try to preach to them, and its like why should they listen to us? If...if we out here doing what we telling them not too. And we like damn, theres nobody out here to tell these kids nothing. They moms cant tell them cuz they smoking it, we cant tell them, cuz we selling it. And nobody in school can tell them, cuz they aint going to school. Why? Because their moms dont force them too.

Now a little kid, he dont wake-up early in the morning and say, "Oh, I want to go to school." If his moms tell him, he dont have to go to school, hes gonna be like "Oh, my mom said I didnt have to go to school, so why should I? Ya know what Im saying? They gonna look at it like its all-right, ya know what Im saying? They not gonna grow up knowing schools important, like me. I grew up, and my moms like you aint gotta go to school today, so Im like I dont gotta go to school. But after awhile I grew up, and I started seeing people may age smarter then me. And Im like damn, why they smarter than me? "Cuz I went to school and you didnt." See, now I know that, ya know what Im sayin? So Im trying to tell this little kids, "trust me, I know you have older people coming up to you, telling you this aint the way, this aint the way, take it from me! Im doing it, and Ill tell you straight up, it aint what you want. Track2, 18:57
