Wedding photographers make most of their profits by keeping your
negatives and charging high prices for prints and expensive albums.
I'm
different. I charge a flat fee to shoot your wedding--always
under a thousand dollars if you are in the New York City area. Film
and development is extra, typically two or three hundred dollars.
I then give you the negatives as well as sources where you can get
(at cost) blow-ups, reprints and albums. You put together your own
album. This usually takes a couple of pleasurable afternoons, saves
you money, and leaves me to do what I do best--shooting your wedding.
I am always available for free follow-up advice if need be.
My
customers end up with a gorgeous wedding album for between $1,000
and $1,500, half the price of many other photographers. Of course
the ownership of your original wedding negatives--to be handed down
through the generations--is priceless.
